I attended a 'Preparing for the future' workshop today. Which in my opinion was absoloutly amaaaazing, I learnt so much. The main point of the workshop, was to prepare you for university life and help you out with revision and give you some overall advice. It was a bit like having a rollercoaster ride hearing all about university life , nerve-wrecking yet exciting at the same time. I'm a bit over-whelmed and slightly pressured, as university is one of the most competitive places ever in life, right now but hopefully, if God may I will actually get in. Wish me luck !
So this is what I learnt today ...
- In order to be #1 , you have to be organised and prepared for pretty much anything. This includes, knowing what you want in life (if you don't thats okay too) and seeking it, researching about it, knowing what you want and then inevitably chasing it.
- Talking and asking for advice; is the best thing to do when you need a little help. So , don't feel lost or scared to go up to someone and ask for help. Be polite though.
- It's always an impressive concept to be one step ahead of the crowd, even if it means more hard work than you.
-Never give up on what you want, it's your life and it's up to you to make or break it. so DON'T GIVE
It's also important to note that, it's not the end of the world sort of decision so don't freak if you still have no idea what you want to do or if you just dont feel ready. The truth is, I didn't feel ready but after by after having a long conversation with my dad , everything was put into perspective and I was able to decide what I wanted in my life ... which is, to be happy. As my Dad likes to say , 'enjoy it and live the moment.' Which is exactly what I'm doing right now.
